Far from the madding crowd, right in the heart of the wineries west of the town on Limoux, town world wide known for its famous “Mousseux”, lies the tiny village of Rouvenac. Typical place of the South West of France, where life seems timeless, was it not for the church’s clock…

This is where l’AUBERGE DU FABY, chose to host its clients to taste the rich and traditional cuisine. Homemade menus, fresh vegetables from its own next-by garden, to keep on this exceptional rural taste. Due to its even more pole geographical position, local and regional  “crus” makes the wine card a real classy one. The restaurant can accommodate up to 45 clients and a beautiful terrace another 35.

Rouvenac is situated in the Aude region, right in the land of the Cathares, well known for its famous cultural background. Close to the north, lies the famous wineries of Languedoc Roussillon.

L’AUBERGE DU FABY stands as the best and ideal place to start a good round - by foot or horseback - in this nearly unexplored nature park. From the  highfields of the Pyrennées to the beautiful Mediterraneen sea in the far, everything catches the eye. That’s why every year is scheduled one of the TOUR DE FRANCE…. , for it’s exceptional profile which convenes for training, all year round, cycling amateurs.

From Rouvenac, a tour will take you to The Plateau of Bouichet (alt. 500 metres) with breathtaking sceneries, from the snowing peaks of the Pyrennées or, right up to the horizon,  the endless fields of a unique flora, where every one who cares for nature will get his due: from the Thym to the Romarin or the Marjolaine and other plants of  this region. Of interest on the way back to l’Auberge: Le Moulin de Galie and La Carrière de Gypse.
